The 3AM Club
Over the last couple of years, I have been waking up at 3AM on a daily basis. I usually post a time stamp on my Instagram stories. Naturally, I've received a lot of questions about the #3amclub from followers on the platform. Since waking up at 3AM is a bit crazy, it's worth sharing the massive benefits of doing it.
I'm usually able to get more done before 8AM than most people accomplish all day. That's because nothing happens between 3:00 and 8:00 in the morning. Using this time wisely has allowed me to quickly build a multimillion dollar business in less than 18 months.
Why should you wake up at 3AM?
There are no distractions.
No one is going to call you.
No one is going to text you.
No one is going to email you.
You get to enjoy total, unrelenting peace and quiet. Whether you're working out, writing a blog post like this one, creating an email campaign or eating breakfast, you can focus on it without interruptions.
How do you wake up at 3AM?
There are 2 keys to consistently waking up this early in the morning.
1. Go to bed early. In order to wake up so early, I'm usually in bed between 8pm and 9pm. While most people stay up, watching TV or scroll through social media, I'm getting ready to recover from the day. I highly recommend wearing a sleep mask to ensure high quality sleep. You'll rarely find anything that happens after 9pm to be truly worthwhile.
2. Create a to-do list that excites you. Even if you get enough sleep, you'll never get up at 3AM if you don't have a reason to get up. Building my business and watching it grow excites me enough to get my feet on the floor in the middle of the night.
Ultimately, the point of disciplining yourself to wake up this early boils down to compressing time. Over the last 2 years, I've been able to add an estimated 2,400 hours of real, uninterrupted and focused work to my schedule. That's like adding 50 whole working days to your year - and working 24 hours straight for each day!
The point is: wake up and turn your dreams into reality.
